Austin native, Lil T, blends intricate rhythms with Texas flavor to create a sound that is truly unique. The Camp calls this, “the New Texas Wave.” T pulls elements from real life experiences and applies them to his own brand of Austin Hip Hop.
T began composing rhymes at a young age, and was a frequent emcee on “Boys Beat Box” where teens and young adults called into the local radio station to battle over beats. T started recording his rhymes after high school, and released his first mixtape, Live From Austin, in 2009, with former high school classmate, Andrew Moreno (Trac Sounds). T put out subsequent projects with Trac Sounds in 2011 and 2013 releasing mixtapes, Silver and Gold, respectively. T released Gold’s follow-up, Platinum, in 2014.
Shortly after Platinum’s release, T opened for Doughbeezy at a show in Austin, TX, where he met DJ Rapid Ric. The two released, Lil To The T, a seven track EP in 2015. Lil T and DJ Rapid Ric linked up with Boz on their second project, coined Codeine Margaritas, which released in 2016. In 2018, T teamed up with Tone Brigante and RuMuzik – together they are 3rd World. 3rd World will release a self-titled EP later this year.
